Tax Preparation with Confidence.
You shouldn’t have to become a tax expert to know your return was prepared carefully. I help hardworking individuals and families understand their taxes, prepare their returns carefully, and file with confidence.
Let’s See If We’re a Good Fit.
My practice is intentionally small because I believe people deserve personal guidance, thoughtful answers, and a CPA who takes the time to get things right.
Finding the right CPA isn’t about hiring the biggest firm. It’s about finding someone you trust enough to call when you have a question.
I May Be a Good Fit If…
- You have been preparing your own return but no longer feel confident doing it alone.
- You want to work directly with the same CPA each year.
- You have questions about retirement, Social Security, tax implications of investments, dependents, or major life changes
- You want someone who will explain your return in plain English.
- You value careful preparation, personal attention, and an ongoing relationship.
I May Not Be the Right Fit If…
- You’re primarily looking for the fastest or least expensive filing option.
- You have a highly complex business or extensive real-estate portfolio requiring a specialist.
- You prefer to provide documents without completing an organizer or answering follow-up questions.
- You want a large firm with several specialists and extensive staff.
If I am not the right CPA for your situation, I will tell you honestly and may be able to recommend someone better suited to help.
When Is It Time to Call a CPA?
Your tax situation doesn’t have to be unusually complicated before professional guidance becomes valuable.
Life Has Changed
You got married, had a child, changed jobs, retired, inherited money, sold property, or experienced another important transition.
Your Income Has Changed
Your income now includes Social Security, retirement withdrawals, investments, self-employment income, or income from several sources.
You’re Tired of Wondering
You are no longer comfortable hoping you entered everything correctly or wondering whether you missed something important.
A simple tax return can still raise important questions.

What You Can Expect From Working Together
Every tax return is different, so I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all pricing. Before we agree to work together, I’ll learn about your situation, explain my estimated fee, and make sure we’re both comfortable moving forward.
- We’ll start with a conversation to understand your situation.
- You’ll receive a secure TaxDome organizer and document portal.
- I’ll carefully prepare your federal and state tax returns.
- I’ll contact you if clarification is needed.
- Every completed return receives an independent review before filing.
- We’ll review your completed return in plain English.
- We’ll discuss planning opportunities when appropriate.
- We’ll electronically file your return after your approval.
You’ll Know the Fee Up Front
Before I begin preparing your return, I’ll explain my estimated fee before any work begins, answer your questions, and make sure we’re both comfortable moving forward. If I believe additional work beyond what we discussed will be necessary, we’ll have that conversation before I proceed. I never want clients to be surprised by a bill.
Questions I Hear Every Day
If you’re wondering about any of these things, you’re not alone. These are some of the questions people ask me most often before they decide to work with me.
My tax return isn’t complicated. Do I really need a CPA?
No. A straightforward return can still create uncertainty or raise important questions. You may simply want the reassurance of knowing it has been prepared and reviewed by someone you trust.
How much does tax preparation cost?
Every return is different. Before we begin, I’ll learn about your situation, explain my estimated fee, and answer your questions so there are no surprises.
Will I work directly with you?
Yes. I personally prepare and review every return in my practice. You will know who is handling your information and who to contact when questions arise.
What happens during our first conversation?
I will ask you to tell me about yourself as it relates to your taxes. We will discuss your concerns, determine whether I am the right CPA for your situation, and review the anticipated scope and fee.
How do I send you my tax documents?
You will use a secure TaxDome portal to complete an organizer, upload documents, communicate with me, review your return, and provide required signatures.
Do we have to meet in person?
Not unless you want to. Most clients securely upload their tax documents through my TaxDome portal, and we communicate by phone, email, or video meeting. If you’d prefer to meet in person and you’re in the Louisville, Oldham County, or Henry County area, we can discuss that as well.
What if you don’t know the answer right away?
I will research it rather than guess. You deserve the right answer, even when it takes additional time to find it.
What if my tax situation is more complicated than I expected?
That’s one of the reasons people call a CPA. During our first conversation, I’ll learn more about your situation. If it’s something I can help with, I’ll explain how we’ll move forward. If I believe another CPA or specialist would better serve you, I’ll tell you honestly and, when possible, recommend someone who may be a better fit.
What if I receive an IRS notice after my return is filed?
If you receive an IRS notice related to a return I prepared, don’t panic. Contact me. I’ll help you understand what the IRS is asking and what the next steps should be.
You Do Not Have to Figure It Out Alone.
If you’re ready to move beyond tax software or an impersonal tax preparation service, let’s start with a conversation about your questions, your goals, and how I can help.
Whether you decide to work with me or simply have a few questions, I’d be honored to have that conversation.
